Why does my sports bottle leak?

I have a california Innovations sports bottle,long one that holds 700ml, and it leaks from the top when I lie down the bottle.Is there a way to fix this? Any ideas are welcome

keep it standing up, sports bottles do that unless you have a plastic cap over the pop up one.
