Drum Case

December 23rd, 2008

i had this really weird dream...?

that i was dating my friend's youngest uncle who's 24 years old. i only met once that dude...i barely know him.
anyway...in the dream his hand was around my neck & we were smiling...then i started running away from him, & he was chasing me, i hid behind a drums case. then i woke up from the dream
what does it mean?

Smiling in a dream means you are pleased with you achievements and approve the decisions you have made. You will be rewarded for the good you do for others, alternatively your looking for someone to make you happy.

The fact that he was chasing you means you have anxieties about your waking life.

A neck in you dream means your willpower, self-restriction and your need to control your feelings and keep them in check.

Drums (idk about drum case) mean Drums

To dream that you are playing the drums, indicates that you progress through life by your own terms. You are strong willed and stick by the decisions you make. The dream may also be a metaphor to indicate you are "drumming up" business or that you need to be more aggressive with new ideas.

I got all this info at dreammoods.com, click dream dictionary and type in the object or feeling exc. and it will show you what it means.

 A Heap of Broken Images

A Heap of Broken Images

$16.98

Generally, when a group releases an instrumental and a vocal record simultaneously, it's the latter that is better appreciated by a larger number of fans. The instrumental selection may get occasional late-night play by a few aspiring DJs, but for the most part it rests untouched inside the case or the sleeve, all but forgotten. However, for production duo Blue Sky Black Death's debut, A Heap of Broken Images, it is the second disc, the one that features lyrical appearances from Jus Allah, Guru, and Virtuoso, among others, that runs the greater risk of being ignored. Not because it's a bad collection; it's just so greatly outshined by the instrumentals. Actually, the term instrumentals is a little deceptive. Kingston and Young God do include spoken vocal samples as well as live singing into their 12-song set, which, added to the guitars, pianos, trumpets, strings, woodwinds, and bass they mix with their drum loops and keyboards, create a fairly stunning effect. It's lush and harmonious, sprawling through different watery landscapes and ideas, yet there's a constant undercurrent of pain and isolation that pervades even the less ominous tracks. "Days Are Years" begins with vaguely cacophonous layers that spread out into guitar-led fluvial meanderings, finally ending in a quasi pop song with a "Leaving Las Vegas" bass and repeating vocal line; "Not Here," with its opening trumpet and piano riff, takes on a darker, more trip-hop feel, and though its jazzy break tries to convince its audience that perhaps there's a bit of light underneath the murky scum of the pond, as an empty drum loop and forlorn guitar finally bring it to a finish, the realization that the surface is actually very far away suddenly becomes quite clear. It's depressing, yet the music is so intriguing it's impossible to stop listenining and to stop looking. Because Blue Sky Black Death prove themselves quite adept at creating descriptive, unique environments on A Heap of Broken Images' first d...

A Wee Christmas Homicide (Liss MacCrimmon Series #3)

A Wee Christmas Homicide (Liss MacCrimmon Series #3)

$6.99

'Tis the season to be jolly, but in Moosetookalook, Maine, Christmas cheer is in short supply due to a snowless winter that's keeping skiers and shoppers at a distance. Fortunately, Liss MacCrimmon of the Scottish Emporium has a plan… Liss's brainstorm focuses on Tiny Teddies, the new "hot" toy of the season. Every store across the country is out of stock—except a few wee establishments in good ol' Moosetookalook. It's easy enough to drum up approval for the idea of luring consumers to town and keeping them there with a stockingful of New England holiday charm. Liss's real challenge lies in contending with bickering businesspeople and—once America learns of Moosetookalook's Tiny Teddy cache—doggedly determined shopaholics. The first sign of something amiss occurs when the last Tiny Teddy is summarily executed: shot through the heart in the display window of greedy toy store owner Gavin Thorne. But the Teddy's demise is just a precursor to the eerily similar murder of Gavin himself... The two men in Liss's life want her far from the case, but she can't help feeling guilty for starting the fur frenzy that seems to have led to Gavin's death. Besides, how can she ignore the lengthy list of suspects, not the least of whom include Gavin's vindictive ex-wife, an unscrupulous selectman, a ski shop owner with an axe to grind, and a rabid toy collector packing heat in her purse..? Now, with the Twelve (or, in Scots terms, the Daft) Days of Christmas rapidly approaching, Liss has a plate full of things worse than haggis to contend with, starting with a stockroom packed with poultry (don't ask), and ending with a killer who'd like to see Liss's goose well andfully cooked...

A touch of Leri: The beliefs, attitudes and perceptions of an elementary student in Cyprus about his experiences in different music-making and learning practices.

$49.99

This case study explores the music-making and learning practices of an elementary student from Cyprus in different settings, inside and outside school. The musical knowledge of the 6th grade boy was gained from a diversity of music settings that covered a broad educational spectrum from highly structured and sequential to informal and enculturative. The purpose of study was to investigate student's attitudes, beliefs and feelings concerning different learning settings; the student's perceptions of the value of music experiences in these settings; and the intersections of music learning inside and outside school. The settings were school music classes, private piano lessons, community choir rehearsals, traditional folk dance ensemble, drum exploration, and composition-arrangement at home. Three themes emerged from the data. The first theme centered around the influences from others that motivated Leri's attendance and continuation in music classes. The second theme centered around the elements inherent to the settings themselves that facilitated learning and that made Leri want to engage. The last theme focused on thoughts about his future music making and the factors that affected his plans. The participant's enjoyment and valuing of the music settings was connected to his need for active and meaningful participation through which he could express his musical ideas.

This is another of the supergroup combinations from the Magna Carta label and is the brainchild of Trent Gardner of Magellan. It features Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa) on drums, Billy Sheehan (Talas) on bass, and the soloing of John Petrucci (Dream Theater). There are also several other guest musicians, such as Steve Howe (Yes) and James LaBrie (Dream Theater). It is one of the more intelligent and diverse progressive albums to emerge during the '90s. Unlike its predecessors, Black Light Syndrome and Liquid Tension Experiment, this is more of a progressive rock (as opposed to metal) recording in the tradition of Jethro Tull and Genesis. Bozzio's drumming adds a unique quality to the band, as do the diverse vocal stylings of each singer. It isn't often that you get to hear a single body of work that features consistent music with different vocalists and musicians changing throughout. There is the obvious risk that the music would sound too pieced together; however, this is a homogenous effort. It's a fairly large statement to say that the least interesting moments are Petrucci's soloing, but this is the case. Although his work with Dream Theater has proven him to be a very capable guitarist, it was apparent on this recording that he's shown all of his cards. Of the music here, "Fate Speaks" is just a tad too long; it features Magellan's biggest weakness as a band, which is to repeat the same chorus too many times. On its own, it would probably be more impressive, but here, it is actually the weak link, as the other tunes are so impressive. "Fading Fast" features interesting vocals, sound effects and even a drum machine, which actually works in this setting. The transition into the core of the song is handled perfectly by Dali's Dilemma vocalist Matt Bradley. James LaBrie handles the vocals on "No Returning," which features a refreshing flute solo by Michael Bemesderfer and more over the top soloing by Petrucci. "Time Enough" is memorable mostly for D.C. Coope...
