American Spelling: Is it duffle or duffel?
This is going to drive me insane until I find out.
I am writing a story (SPN slash if you want to know....which you probably don't, but hey). I was reading over a draft when I noticed that I kept spelling duffle/duffel (as in 'duffel/duffle bag') differently, but it wasn't being picked up by the spell check.
What is the correct American spelling for duffle/duffel (if there is such a thing).

It is written either way, though duffel (e.g., duffel bag) is the way I've seen it most. The word came from the name of the town Duffel in Belgium.
