Hitch mounted cargo carriers?
I Want a hitch mounted cargo carrier like this one for My Jeep http://www.flickr.com/photos/25267766@N00/262237978/
THe problem is i have to hitch. is there any available on the market like this one that i can attach to the bumper and not Be required to install a hitch? And no i do not want a roof mounted one. i want one like this. i will need it for Deer season Next year.
This will be for off road use only. during hunting season. just to carry whatever game from the woods to the camp grounds.
It is unsafe, and frequently against the law, to attach a load to a vehicle bumper. The bumper is designed to absorb impact by crushing when it is sandwiched between two colliding vehicles. It is not attached to the car in such a way that it can support a load. This also goes for towing and pushing; if you hit anything more substantial than a mailbox you should have the vehicle inspected by a body shop to ensure that it is still safe to drive.
Back in the good old days when the typical car was equipped with a ratchet jack that engaged with slots in the bumper, it was still common to see a bumper torn from the car during jacking.
You need to use a receiver-mounted carrier. The receiver will be bolted or welded to the frame or body of your car/truck, which is designed to be mechanically rigid and stable.

A Voyager Out: The Life of Mary Kingsley $0.99 Mary Kingsley began her life as a typically conventional Victorian woman.
