How much can I pack into a carry-on bag?

I'm wondering how much clothing I can pack into a Mulholland Brothers carry-on bag. The clothing will be for 10 days in a tropical climate. I'm aiming for 7 outfits consisting of shorts and polo shirts, underwear and toiletries. Can this be packed into a carry-on????
The bag I'm looking at is the Mulholland Safari Bag. The dimensions are (13.5 x 19 x 10). The linear measurement (42.5in.) is within general airline restrictions.

Take everything you want to pack and stack it on a 10" high on a 13.5 x 19 piece of cardboard. Does it fit? Weigh it on your bathroom scale, add the weight of the bag. Check your airlines carry on weight allowance. I rarely see airlines checking carry on weights but be advised that some( European airlines in particular) have ridiculously low weight limits.
