does anyone, anyone that is "woodsy" and "outdoorsy" have any ideas...?
for at least 5(i think it's 5)themes for outdoor hiking?
Enjoying yourself in the outdoors, Bird Watching, Stargazing/shooting star spotting, Animal tracking, Geocaching, Survival hikes, Hiking to pristine fishing spots, Hiking to summits for their views, hiking to waterfalls/swimming holes, hiking to a campsite to cook on an open fire, hiking to practice your orienteering skills (map and compass), to learn the weather patterns, hiking/snowshoeing in the winter to build igloos or snow shelters.
Wazat doesnt have many good ideas, some will land you in jail/fined or can get you killed/sick. His first 4 suggestions are fine but berry and mushroom picking will get you sick or can even kill you if you dont know what you are doing, insect collecting depends on the insect you are after- there are quite a few butterflys that are illegal to catch and have in your posession. You are not supposed to remove any fossils or artifacts that you find on the trail, first off its highly illegal. Also why wouldnt you leave it for the next person to enjoy? Its not following the Leave No trace principles that many areas require you to follow. I guess he never heard take only photos leave only footprints. And the last 2 you should only do if you know what you are doing and are confident.
