Environmentalists... what are ur views on PET plastics?

in my opinion despite all the technological uses for plastic it is horrible for our environment. For example take the chemical BPA. The effects of this chemical, one of many many chemicals found in plastic, were just discovered. Scientists are begining to understand how dangerous BPA is even in microscopic amounts. This is only one chemical that problems are known of.

However there are tons of other chemicals in plastic that nothing is known about and it is a little scary to think of the potential effects that these chemicals can have. I personally believe that we need to move away from plastic in general especially since it doesn't biodegrade. The issue of plastic in general not just PET plastic is huge. If you want to learn more I would suggest checking out a documentary called "addicted to plastic" it is very informative to a wide range of issues regarding the use of plastic in our society.
