Will my friend still get in trouble? She is a on fundraising team for charity. She didn't turn the money in.?

Team couldn't understand why the charity didn't receive any of the money raised. My friend was in charge of handing over the money to the charity. She kept the money in an account. Well, a police report was filed against her for not handing over/showing proof money was turned in. She then admitted she was going through tough times and spent the money. There is a detective on the case. Today we just found out she turned in the money to the charity. Is she still in trouble? The team is upset that even though the money was turned in, the team does not get any credit. Looks as though my friend made the donation and not the team. FYI $3,000 bucks was raised at an event that about 150 people attend.
