Colgan Air (ops for United Express) Q400--overhead bins?

AFAIK these are the most modern "next gen" aircraft--I read somewhere that overhead bins are larger than the typical commuter propjob--anybody know for sure if they will take a standard size roll-aboard? Connection in IAH is a bit tight, worried about making it, if have to wait on jetbridge for "valet" bag

I doubt it. Just bring a smaller bag if it really might be an issue.

The story concerns madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The musical introduced such songs as "Anything Goes ," "You're the Top ," and "I Get a Kick Out of You ."Since its 1934 debut at the Neil Simon Theatre (at the time known as the Alvin ) on Broadway , the musical has been revived several times in the United States and Britain and has been filmed twice. The musical has long been a popular choice for school and community productions. History Anything Goes is a farce set below decks on an ocean liner bound for London from New York. The original idea came from producer Vinton Freedley, who was living on a boat, having left the US to avoid his creditors. He selected the writing team, and the star, Ethel Merman . The first draft of the show was called Crazy Week, which became Hard to Get, and finally Anything Goes. Hard to Get was set on a mid-ocean liner that was in danger, but, just a few weeks before the show was due to open, a fire on board the passenger ship SS Morro Castle caused the deaths of 137

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! All Aboard the Blue Train is the fourteenth album by singer Johnny Cash. It was originally released on 15 November 1962 (see 1962 in music), but later re-issued in 2003 (see 2003 in music), under the label Varèse Sarabande, with six bonus tracks. John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 - September 12, 2003), born J. R. Cash, was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author, who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music artist, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll-especially early in his career-as well as blues, folk, and gospel. Late in his career, Cash covered songs by several rock artists, among them the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails and the synthpop band Depeche Mode.

Excerpt: SS Stevens, a 473-foot, 14,893-ton ship, served as the floating dormitory from 1968 to 1975 for about 150 students of Stevens Institute of Technology, a technological university, in Hoboken, NJ. Permanently moored on the scenic Hudson River at the foot of the campus across from New York City, this first collegiate floating dormitory became one of the best known college landmarks in the country. Twenty-four years prior to her duty as a floating dormitory, the ship served with distinction in World War II as USS Dauphin (APA-97), a Windsor-class attack transport vessel. Originally launched in 1944, Dauphin was awarded one battle star and was present in Tokyo Bay for the Surrender Ceremony of World War II, September 2, 1945. Following the war, the vessel underwent significant modifications, and emerged as cruise liner SS Exochorda a member of the post-war quartet of ships named "4 Aces", operated by American Export Lines. During her eleven years of cruise liner service, from 1948 to 1959, Exochorda along with her nearly identical sister ships in the "4 Aces" regularly sailed with passengers and cargo on a 12,000-mile route from New York Harbor to various Mediterranean ports. Exochorda was retired to the Reserve ("mothball") Fleet in 1959 where she remained for eight years. Exochorda's conversion to a dormitory ship, following her purchase by Stevens Institute of Technology in 1967, required only minor modifications such as the connection of land-based water, sewer and electric utilities. Accommodations enjoyed by many student residents aboard Stevens included private baths and in-room control of heating and air-conditioning. Featuring portholes, roll-up berths and nautically-themed artwork, Stevens became quite popular among her residents. Pur... More:

Chapters: Tacoma Narrows Bridge, Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 2, Wellington, Washington Avalanche. Excerpt: Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 2 was a Boeing Stratocruiser aircraft that was ditched into Puget Sound just off the Seattle waterfront shortly after takeoff from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) on April 2, 1956. All of those aboard survived the ditching and escaped the aircraft before it sank, but four passengers and one flight attendant subsequently died.Flight 2 departed Sea-Tac at just after 8:00 AM. Its intended itinerary would have taken the aircraft to Portland (Oregon) , Chicago , and New York City . The takeoff was uneventful until the first officer retracted the wing flaps; the aircraft suddenly began to buffet violently and also began a roll to the left. The captain believed that an asymmetric wing flap condition had developed and made numerous attempts to control the aircraft, but to no avail. Believing the aircraft unairworthy, he considered returning to Sea-Tac and diverting to McChord Air Force Base , but the buffeting worsened and the Stratocruiser began to lose altitude. They decided their best chance was to ditch in the relatively shallow and (on that day) calm waters of Puget Sound. The first officer's Mayday transmission relaying the intention to ditch was heard by the captain of a Coast Guard vessel and the pilot of an Air Force amphibious Grumman Albatross aircraft, both of whom readied their vessels to assist the stricken aircraft. The captain brought the aircraft down smoothly. Although it took on water quickly, the passenger cabin remained in one piece, and all of those on board were able to depart safely, most using their seat cushions as makeshift flotation devices . The Air Force Grumman landed in the water near the
