Forgot combination for tsa safe skies lock?
This is really important. School starts tomorrow. I was changing the combination on my lock, but it didn't work, and now it's locked outside of the little whole the steel thing is supposed to be in. My parents would kill me (not literally) if they knew wthat this happened. This lock was double the price of the one I was gonna get. Someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe I still have mylock from last year, but if my parents come to school and see that it is not the same lock, they won't be happy. And I'm not even sure where it is, and school is tomorrow, so I don't think I have time to look for it. Please, give me some advice! Or help me!
Where did you get the TSA lock? Have you just purchased it? Regardless of that, take the lock to your nearest supplier, and tell them what has happened. They *should* have the over-ride key - the same as the security people in the airports use - and will be able to open it for you. If you ask, they may also be able to set the new combination for you, too.
First, though, try opening the lock by using the numbers on either side of the ones you originally wanted to set: so if you were trying to set the first figure as 2, the second as 3, and the third as 4, try combinations of 1 and 3 for the first, 2 and 4 for the second, 3 and 5 for the third etc. I know from experience the TSA locks can be a little tricky - especially when new, and the internal workings are still a little tight. You sometimes think you've set a number when it has actually slipped to the number next to it. (yes, I've done this too!)
