Our airports are not safe..TSA Not doing their job?
Report on abc morning, stating that pheniox airport in particular, do not check employees between the hours of 12.30a.m and 4.30 a.m...thru scanning, bag check and so on..opens up a can of worms, for terrorists..People need to write in to tsa, local newspapers, radio, whatever it takes to get this out....Better security in our airports..Strictor rules..Now they are allowing cigarette lighters on carry ons. What a joke. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
I agree with you. I work for an airline in South Florida and know firsthand that TSA does not check employees coming or going late at night and early in the morning. They do random checks at one employee entrance, but, how can they be random if we know what time they will be there.
I have always said that we are not safe. A few months back, An Orlando Comair employee was caught smuggling 13 handguns, 8 lbs. of pot, and an AR-15 assault rifle onto a flight bound for Puerto Rico. He said he need the money. Now imagine if a terrorist came up and offered a lot of money...I mean, this kid did it for a few thousand (if I do recall correctly). Imagine what a half million would do to some people. Scary thought ! I really don't know how to "fix" the problem with security today, I just believe there has to be a better way...maybe putting armed forces (National Guard/Army) in our airports...I dunno.
