How good is the standard horizon cp155 gps?
Horizon is one of the top brands in marine communications. GPS systems all work from mostly military satellites. Usually they will lock on to 6-8 of them and sometimes more which will increase accuracy even down to a few feet. The main difference between different brands is the add on's companies will install to make them more attractive and have "toys" to play with. Depending on what you want to use it for keep it simple, they are all basically the same.
