OVULATION-question????
OKAY I HAVE 3 kids. So I know about CM- Ovulation and all that jazz. I just had my son a year ago, and just started getting my periods when he was about 8 months old. The past two cycles, I ovulated for a week and a half straight. I get ovulation pains (which started after my second born) I get massive CM- (yes the clear stretchy fun stuff.. ) My question.. is WHY. Twins are on my side of the family.. my friend told me this is what happened to her and she had become pregnant with twins. Has this happened to anyone.. like if I am ovulating each day, arn't I losing an egg each day.. and does the egg stay in me.. Im scared to make love with my DH cause what if I end up preggerz with 7 babies ( from an egg each day).. or could I have something really wrong with my ovaries for them to be relasing eggs? IF anyone knows the answer please let me know. Thanks a bunch

I wouldn't worry about ovulating more that once per cycle, that is not possible. Twins result from one ovulation, just one or two eggs are released depending on the type of twins.
As for the CM that you mentioned, that could just be normal fertile CM, if there has been a build up to that type of stretchy mucus, starting with drier, less stretchy mucus and progressively getting thinner, clearer and stretchier. That CM progression is part of a normal healthy cycle. If on the other hand, you just see large amounts of mucus without progression, and perhaps with an odor that could be abnormal and perhaps an infection.
As for the pains, that could be a number of things, some women do experience some mid cycle pain around the time of ovulation due to hormones. When there is a lot of pain, it could be from a deficiency in a woman's diet and could be helped by vitamin/mineral supplements or herbal remedies, even excess caffeine or sugar can worsen that.
My husband and I have been instructors of NFP (natural family planning) for 9 years and have used it when necessary for the past 18 years. It is highly effective, very informative, and very inexpensive. But most importantly, it helps you to understand and respect your body and its awesome fertility, and to grow closer as a couple.
