Does The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Sound Like THE Dumbest Movie?
I mean, really. That title alone would discourage *me* from seeing it. & I guess it did well enough to warrant a sequel. lol

I say we come up w. alternate title for it:
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Gym Shorts
Motherhood of the Vacationing Maternity Frock
The Brotherhood of the Traveling Pantaloons
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Bath Robe
The Fatherhood of the Used Draws
& what was that other one w/ the dumb title? "Ya Ya-something?
"Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood". That's it. Great. Another 'sisterhood' flick...
It really doesn't help in making a case for "chick flicks", do they?

Well, Fonz, it's based off of a book, and unless you are between 3 and 15, I doubt you would seriously like the movie...
The "traveling pants" are jeans that make all the girls in a little friendship ring look good. Three of them leave to different places during the summer, so they ship the jeans and stories of what happened in the jeans to their friends.
Usually it's just teenagey stuff, like getting their first kiss... but for one, it was bringing a kid out of a seizure, one of them was skinny dipping right after taking the jeans off and caught by a cute guy, etc. etc.
Again, if you're not a girl and 15 or younger, you probably wouldn't like the book or movie.

The other "sisterhood" is the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. The ladies are all over 45. They're a bunch of crazy Cajun chicks that have been together since they were like 8 or something. One of their daughters is about to get married and seriously f'd up her momma's reputation, so momma is ignoring her. And there's emotions and stuff.
