What is the fastest and most secure way to sell a valuable vintage poster?
A few years ago, I invested in my first major piece of artwork - a Stan Galli vintage travel poster for United Air Lines. It's the one he created for Las Vegas, and depicts a girl resembling Natalie Wood lying by the pool. At the time, I was given a great deal on it because I worked for the dealer ($800) but last time I checked with an appraiser, the value was $1200. It's also framed and protected under glass.
I REALLY don't want to risk selling it on eBay or Craigslist...any suggestions on how to sell it to a reliable dealer or collector?
