London's oyster cards: a craft challenge!?
London's public transport card (the 'Oyster' card) is the size of a standard credit card. I challenge you to find a recycled material and pattern to make a durable waterproof holder for it.
Suggestions/ideas or completed designs!
Lay your card on some lightwieght cardboard and trace around it. Cut about a 1/2 out from your lines: this will be your pattern.
Get two large plastic coffee can lids. Trace your pattern on them. Use Duct Tape to seam the two pieces of plastic together on 3 sides.
Braid some yarn together to make a strap and attach to the top on either side.
Put your card in it.
Not 100% water proof, but getting there!!! LOL
