What the different between white & black hair?
I have never cutt my hair be4. my hair is to my shoulder and a little off. its been like that since i was a young child, I am a black person. My friend who is white . shave his hair one every months. if he grows his hair out. in a month it will be all the way down to his shoulder that fast. It takes me along time to grow hair fast. So do white people grow faster hair then white people?
No. Blacks hair grows the same as everyone else's. The difference is the texture and strength of the hair. Blacks have the most fragile hair type of any race and it EASILY breaks off and this is one of the reasons why you don't see many blacks with extremely long hair. Hair growth usually isn't the problem, it's more a problem with length retention (holding on to the hair you have and that which grows from the scalp). Sorry, but I have a hard time believing his hair grows that fast. On average, hair grows 1/2 inch per month, or 6 inches per year. Hair growth is pre-determined by genes and yours might grow faster or slower than average, but most will probably fall within the average.
Many people think black natural hair grows slower than relaxed hair, which is not true either, because no chemical or any product can change how fast your hair grows from under the scalp. BTW, they probably think this because natural hair shrinks a whole lot and it will always look much shorter than it actually is.
